A large red lacquer trunk with a base.  The top panel of the lid has beaded edges.  The front metal is in molded in the design of a symbolic lingzhi fungus.  The side is decorated with a C shape pull.  This type of trunk was used for storing garments and was made as part of a lady’s dowry.
