This cabinet was constructed in the Xinmeinping style (all four sides flushed). The construction is of standard mitered joints with tongue and groove floating panels. The door panel of this particular one uses two types of wood. The top section is of Hongmu with relief carving of chrysanthemum and bamboo, the two symbols representing the friends of a gentleman.
