This six-drawer desk consists of three parts - a center top piece with 2 drawers and two stands each with 2 drawers. The top panel has the extended tenon joints which easily lock into the mortised joints built along the sides of the stands. The front panels of drawers are made of a darker wood - Hongmu which create a nice color contrast with the top panel and the frame members. The stretchers in between the legs are arranged in a geometric fretwork pattern. The legs are straight and have mild upturned feet. The footrest follows the same design.
